As soon as my kids enter my vehicle it becomes a trashcan on wheels!
Bookbags, artwork, lunchboxes and dirty socks take up residence with the leftover granola bars and goldfish from the day before and any semblance of order is crushed.
If you're finding yourself in the same situation, plus you are in a queue of cars waiting to top off your tank this week, I've got a great way to use that time and feel so much better as you drive away from the pumps. Here's a quick approach to finding MORE SPACE in your car in just 10 minutes while waiting to fill up.
STEP ONE | Collect and Throw Away Trash
Do a quick scan of your car and collect all the trash. Throw it away in the trash and recycle bins next to the pumps.
STEP TWO | Use a To-Go-Inside Bag to House the Items That Don’t Belong in the Car
Once trash is gone, gather any items that don’t belong in the car and put them in a To-Go-Inside Bag. I keep an empty bag in my car to hold anything that can be taken into our house. Dirty socks get put in this bag and brought inside at the end of the day to join the laundry. School papers and mail that needs to be handled is placed in this bag to sort at home. Keeping those items in a bag that can easily be transported inside immediately creates order in your car.
